Democrats have been lying about this for years. They tell people that the accusations that they want to take everyone's guns is just crazy conspiracy theory nonsense, but listen to the words of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

Couple of decades ago, Australia had a mass shooting, similar to Columbine or Newtown. And Australia just said, well, that’s it, we’re not doing, we’re not seeing that again, and basically imposed very severe, tough gun laws, and they haven’t had a mass shooting since. Our levels of gun violence are off the charts. There’s no advanced, developed country that would put up with this.
When Australia had a mass killing – I think it was in Tasmania – about 25 years ago, it was just so shocking the entire country said ‘well we’re going to completely change our gun laws’, and they did. And it hasn’t happened since.
We know that other countries, in response to one mass shooting, have been able to craft laws that almost eliminate mass shootings. Friends of ours, allies of ours — Great Britain, Australia, countries like ours. So we know there are ways to prevent it.
You know, Australia’s a good example, Canada’s a good example, [and] the UK’s a good example. Why? Because each of them had mass killings, Australia had a huge mass killing about 20 or 25 years ago. Canada did as well, so did the UK. In reaction, they passed much stricter gun laws. In the Australian example, as I recall, that was a buyback program. The Australian government as part of trying to clamp down on the availability of … weapons offered a good price for buying hundreds of thousands of guns and basically clamped down going forward, in terms of having more of a background check approach – more of a permitting approach.

So here you have a former president and a major candidate that ran for president, both leaders in the Democrat party call for outright confiscation of guns just like Australia did.
Not to mention all the kids from the recent Florida shooting being paraded about on one news network after another demanding that we get rid of guns. Look at how the Left is trying to demonize the NRA and American gun owners to turn us all into social pariahs. They want to make it where it is unacceptable to associate with us, and to do business with us. Look how they want to boycott anyone that has donated to or collaborated with the NRA in any way.

Right now 73% of Democrats want to ban all semi automatic firearms. That would get rid of most handguns and rifles in America. 44% want to ban all guns period.

Right now Cleveland, OH is pushing to get the state of Ohio to adopt "red flag" laws that allow gun confiscation. Illinois has also passed laws allowing them to confiscate the guns owned by anyone under the age of 21. In Oregon they passed a "violent threat restraining order" law that allows them to confiscate the guns of anyone with a restraining order against them. Basically this law strips a citizen of all their constitutional rights without notification, or proof of a crime committed. All they need is an accusation. A SWAT team is sent to a person's home and they ransack their home and take all their guns. If a person resists then the Swat team can arrest you or even kill you. All without a trial, without a warrant, just because someone who doesn't like you made an accusation.
