Employee of AG Beshear Caught Smoking Pot on the Job

Elizabeth Anna Justice, an employee of the Kentucky State Attorney Generals office, was pulled over in the McDonalds parking lot yesterday 4/11/18. She is being charged with a DUI and failure to use a turn signal. Police in Frankfort, KY where called to McDonalds about a woman smoking marijuana in her car. When police arrived on the scene they spotted Justice's car pulling out of the parking lot. They pulled her over for failing to use a turn signal. When the suspect rolled down her window smoke poured from the car as well as the strong smell of marijuana.

When police questioned here Justice told police that she was on her lunch break. Police found a partially smoked joint, another fully rolled joint, and a package of rolling papers in the car. She consented to do a field sobriety test and was unable to follow the instructions given to her by the arresting officer. She was also reported to have "blood shot, watery eyes." Officers took her to the hospital for a blood test before taking her to Franklin County Jail to be booked.

Justice has worked for AG Andy Beshear since May of 2015 and is currently assigned to a case investigating Medicaid Fraud.

AG Beshear has made recent headlines for lawsuits that he has filed against opioid manufacturers back in January of this year. He is also fighting a lawsuit against a medical marijuana coalition that is suing him and the governor over a state law banning medical marijauna. In one recent interview AG Beshear implored viewers to "clean out your medicine cabinet." In 2016 AG Beshear was named investigator of the year for his drug task force, which worked to clean up drug activity in the Appalachian area.

So how is it that this hot shot drug task force investigator can have an employee abusing drugs on the job right under his nose? I think that this is a question that Kentuckians should be asking of their AG. If this can get past him then maybe he isn't that great of a drug task force investigator after all.
