Today on Fox News Senator Rand Paul called on Democrats to tamp down on the violent rhetoric.
"There is going to be an assassination if this doesn't ratchet down. The other side needs to really calm the rhetoric down," Senator Paul said.
Looking at this from his perspective you have to know that he is right. Senator Paul has literally been in the crosshairs of a violent left wing extremist in June of 2017 when a lunatic leftist attacked a congressional baseball game for charity. Senator Paul was forced to hide behind a tree while the mad man fired almost 200 rounds of ammunition at Republican leaders. House Majority Whip Steve Scalise nearly lost his life in that attack. Also shot were Officer Crystal Griner, assigned to protect Scalise; Zack Barth, a congressional aide; and Matt Mika a lobbyist.
Then on the Leland Conway show he said of those on the left " they have to realize they bear some responsibility if this elevates to violence."
Senator Paul has some experience with left wing violence. He spent some time in the hospital after being assaulted by his neighbor Rene Boucher who broke several of his ribs and punctured one of his lungs. Mr. Boucher is a liberal extremist who attacked the Senator while he was mowing the lawn at his Kentucky home.
There are many examples of Democrat leaders calling for violence from their constituents.
Hillary Clinton: “You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about, that’s why I believe, if we are fortunate enough to win back the House and or the Senate, that’s when civility can start again. But until then, the only thing that the Republicans seem to recognize and respect is strength.”
Hillary Clinton: “You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right?” Clinton said. “The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic—you name it. And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up.”
Eric Holder: "Michelle [Obama] always says, 'When they go low, we go high.' No. No. When they go low, we kick them."
Michael Avenettie: “We can no longer afford to bring nail clippers to a gun fight. It is time to fight fire with fire.”
Montel Williams: "Michele (Bachmann), slit your wrist. Go ahead... or, do us all a better thing [sic]. Move that knife up about two feet. Start right at the collarbone."
Rapper Everlast: “F*ck that dude. I’ll smack that f*cker’s comb-over right off his f*cking scalp. Like, for real, if I met Donald Trump, I’d punch him in his f*cking face. And that’s not a joke. Even if he did become president — watch out, Donald Trump, because I will punch you in your f*cking face if I ever meet you. Secret Service had better just f*cking be on it. Don’t let me anywhere within a block.”
Bill Maher: “I have zero doubt that if Dick Cheney was not in power, people wouldn’t be dying needlessly tomorrow….I’m just saying if he did die, other people, more people would live. That’s a fact.”
Mike Malloy: “But, you know, the NRA members are the current incarnation of the brownshirts from Germany back in the early ’30s, late ’20s, early ’30s. Now, of course, there came the Night of the Long Knives when the brownshirts were slaughtered and dumped in the nearest ditches when the power structure finally got tired of them. So I look forward to that day.”
Lea Delaria: "Or pick up a baseball bat and take out every f*cking republican and independent I see. #f*cktrump, #f*cktheGOP, #f*ckstraightwhiteamerica, #f*ckyourprivilege."
Dan Savage: “I wish they (Republicans) were all f*cking dead!”
Azealia Banks: “Sarah Palin needs to have her hair shaved off to a buzz cut, get headf*cked by a big veiny, ashy, black d*ck then be locked in a cupboard.”
Madonna: ” Yes, I’m angry. Yes, I’m outraged. Yes, I have thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House, but I know that this won’t change anything."
Consider the violence that we have already seen from the left. Does it take another Vegas shooting to convince people how dangerous all of this rhetoric can be? Yet here we are with Democrat leadership like Cory Booker, Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clnton, Kamala Harris, and Chuck Schumer, not condemning violence, but rather endorsing and encouraging it. We have celebrities that are openly making threats and mimicking murder. We have cities like Portland, OR that tell their law enforcement to stand down while conservatives are assaulted in the streets.
From this I can only draw one conclusion. The left does not want a debate. They do not want to have civil discourse. Their leaders have said as much and their followers have drawn first blood. No, these people want to exterminate anyone that disagrees with their opinions. That is a very very dangerous attitude to have. Our country is becoming a pressure cooker of polarized ideas, and the Democrats only seem interested in stoking the fire. That is why it is so important that people get out there and vote these left wing lunatics out of office before they get a whole lot of people killed.
