Many States and counties have thumbed their nose at immigration laws so why do conservatives keep playing by the rules?
I hear everyone complaining that the Democrats cheat, that Liberals don't play by the rules. When they don't like the rules then they just declare themselves a sanctuary city and nothing ever seems to happen to them as a result.
Even when the Mayor of Oakland obstructs justice to protect murderers, thieves, rapists, and drug dealers she continues to walk around scot free, and the rest of us are supposed to what? continue to play by the rules while they flaunt their insolence in our faces and try to shove their marxist beliefs down our throats against our wills.
Well Governor Mike Huckabee in a recent post hit upon something quite obvious that everyone seems to be missing. If Democrats don't have to obey the law then why do any of us have to obey the law. If governor Brown can choose which laws that he wants to obey then why can't Governor Huckabee say fine my state is a sanctuary state for the unborn? He makes a good point about the unborn being protected by the 5th and 14th amendments. Just because a baby is a small citizen doesn't mean that their life and their rights are not just as important as those of adults.

In fact why stop with Roe vs. Wade? Why can't states that disagree with various controversial supreme court decisions just say "Hey we aren't going to listen to them and we are going to do what we want?" In many of these cases this isn't a matter of a law that was created by the duly elected officials who represent us. In cases like abortion, same sex marriage, desegregation, no prayer in school, taking down monuments, anti sodomy, removing the ten commandments, etc. were decisions unilaterally made by a single judge or a panel of judges. That isn't to say that the author disagrees with all of these decisions, but they are all examples of decisions which were controversial when they were made and some of which continue to be so to this day. These people were not elected to represent us, they were appointed by whoever was in charge at the time. Which means that if a politician got elected once and the people didn't like him, because he did an awful job that we are still stuck with his or her appointees who probably suck just as much as they did. So why are we abiding by those rulings when Liberal Democrats apparently don't have to obey any kinds of laws at all?
Why not sanctuary cities or states that protect the unborn? Why not sanctuary cities for Christians where they are allowed to pray in schools and display the ten commandments in public? How about sanctuary for historical monuments? How about sanctuary for law abiding gun owners that want to protect their second amendment rights? How about sanctuary for parents who want to raise their children without harassment from the state.
Oh, yeah that was what America as a whole was supposed to be, right? Weren't we the land of the free and the home of the brave? Didn't we stand up defiantly against tyrants, despots, and petty dictators who were the enemies of freedom loving people everywhere? Didn't we dream big and deliver even bigger than anyone ever though was possible because we were Americans aspiring for that magnificent dream that has drawn freedom loving people to it from all over the world?
It was supposed to be a free country where we could live and thrive without unnecessary interference from an overreaching out of control government. Well that dream might be disappearing. Illinois is confiscating guns in defiance of the 2nd amendment. Florida is stripping young adults of their 2nd amendment rights. Meanwhile liberal Democrats like Hillary Clinton, Governor Brown, and the Mayor of Oakland don't have to obey any of our laws. Illegal immigrants can come into our country rape, murder, steal, and peddle drugs without any worry that they will be stopped.
Where is that defiant and powerful American spirit. Where is our heritage. We are the brave. We are the free, but only if we stand up to those that would bully us and dare to try and strip a single one of our God given freedoms away from us. Stand up, STAND UP, I will say it again. STAND UP! We do not kneel, We stand. MAGA!
