Students at Grand Ledge High School in Michigan
On May 2nd with very little coverage from the lame stream fake news media students all over the country walked out to show their support for the 2nd amendment.
The rallies, dubbed "Stand for the Second," were started by New Mexico high schooler Will Riley to show that not every young person is on board with the gun-control movement created after the Valentine's Day high school shooting in Florida.
Organizers say events were scheduled in about 40 states. Students, many wearing T-shirts that read "Stand for the 2nd Walkout" or holding signs, walked out of their classes at 10 a.m. local time.
Riley a senior at Carlsbad High School said that he organized the walk outs because of the nationwide student walkouts that dominated news coverage in the aftermath of the recent Florida shooting.
"I'm watching the news and I see they're saying, 'We have to do something about this. We have to enact some sort of gun control legislation because this is what the kids are asking for.' And I'm thinking, 'I'm not asking for that,' " Riley said. "I look at my friends and I think 'They're not asking for that.'
Riley said he wanted to give a voice to people "who feel that they're being misrepresented by the media."
Students at Grand Ledge High School also held a moment of silence to honor police and members of the armed services. They were joined by members of the American Legion-VFW Post 3293 Honor Guard, led by veteran Dale Walters.
"We are for your rights," Walters told students. "You guys are the next line of defense, think about what rights we have and how you can defend them."
When viewing this I take heart that not everyone from the next generation has been brain washed by the liberals who want to take away everyone's rights. This was a real organic protest, not a bought and paid for protest that was professionally organized by the Soros funded by moveon.org. This is what a real protest looks like. The signs are hand made, There are no fancy tour buses to haul kids to the capitol, and the lame stream fake news media are not dominating every channel with their one sided bias. The fact that they are being very quiet about this is telling.
For some time now we have been getting reports of liberals silencing the 1st amendment rights of students all over the country that defied the gun grabbing liberals agenda, and wished to support the 2nd. Those students will remember that liberals, trust me. You have only served to galvanize their commitment to fight for their rights at any cost. A reckoning is coming. More and more people are waking up and realizing that the enemy within this country is liberalism. Liberalism that wants to take every right away, spinning it with contrived sob stories about how punishing innocent law abiding citizens is necessary, because it will somehow magically accomplish "insert reason here".
The mechanics of these logic defying measures never materializes. It is always just a knee jerk appeal to emotions and an unwillingness to listen to the facts. Then if liberals get their way and they do something that doesn't work that destroys what they tried to regulate they refuse to change it back. That is exactly why we need to oppose liberty hating crazy liberals with every freedom loving fiber of beings.
If you know of a student who has been bullied by anti-gun liberal students or teachers there is a hotline where help can be attained. Call the SAF toll-free hotline number is 800-426-4302.
